Live music in The Room: how to book a show at The Brew

The Room works for live music for the same reasons it works for meetings: it is large, it is separate from the espresso bar, and the tables move.

What we host

Open mics, acoustic sets, and small shows. We are a coffee shop, so the sound level that works here is closer to a listening room than a bar. Acts that play well in here tend to be one to three people.

How to get on the calendar

Call (517) 899-1995 and ask about a date. It helps to have ready:

• The date and the time window you want
• How many people are in the act
• What you are bringing and what you need from us
• A link to something we can listen to

We book around our hours, which are 7am to 4pm on weekdays and 8am to 2pm on weekends, so most shows are afternoon or evening events with the room set up after close.
